For instance this fun fact, a botfly maggot(gotta love Google) will chew its way into a person’s body and gorge itself for weeks until it becomes so distended and bloated from its meals of human flesh that it pops out through the skin. Not the kind of impression you'll want to leave.

Alcohol: while it can be useful in getting her loose enough to give away some important characteristics  – (if she pops it open on the spot and starts drinking, run away, unless you are an alcoholic, in which case you've met your soul mate, congrats!) – it also says “I’m trying to lower your inhibitions so I can have my way with you.” Some women may be turned off by this approach.

Paper clips:not recommended, unless you met through an online paper-clip-fetishist forum, or one of the many dating services that cater to office-supply enthusiasts.  Besides everyone knows if you're going to go with an office supply gift, "swingline stapler" is all that need be said.

Last night I called BJ and we spoke for an hour and ten minutes. It was the most connecting conversation we've had over the phone... indeed it's probably been the most connecting conversation we've had at all. BJ has always shied away from 'meaningful' phone conversations, however I was able to connect with him and keep my heart open and realy listen to him rather than hear blame and criticism. I stayed connected to my intention to connect and I used a few empathy techniques I've learnt like reflecting back what he said in needs and feelings, or asking him what he heard me say, or asking him if he'd tell me what he heard me say.

The other really important learning I was able to put into practice was stay connected with myself. At one point I felt my chest constrict again when I heard a criticism. I instantly recognised this change in my body and gave myself a quick empathy sentence, and then was able to hear again. By keeping connected I was able to direct the conversation and also tell him what I was feeling right at that moment - if I was confused by what he was saying and needing understanding, or hurt because I needed acceptance for who I am.

This was so powerful I was able to communicate with giraffe ears. It was amazing. I celebrated afterwards that we were connected again and that I had been able to put into practice my learnings of NVC. I wasn't afraid, I didn't hold back in case I didn't 'say it right', I just stayed connected with my intention and with myself.

I've learnt that NVC is not just a language tool, it is a way of being.

Debbie walks that fine line between describing her Lee's List in terms that are concrete yet not too superficial - at least it seems that way to me ... feel free to cross-reference to her Rear Deck Speech to see if she is indeed supporting her Life's Purpose. We all need all the help that we can.

And remember, even if you are NOT one of the 7MITs your opinion is as valued as anybody else's AND we would even appreciate anybody who is brave enough to share their Lee's Lists :)

This is what I've come up with.  I'm not exactly clear I've done this correctly, but I have tried to give what I would need at a minimum to fulfill my Life's Purpose... and tried to give it a dollar amount as well.

I think I would need:

1. Time with Family/Friends tops my list for being most important (time when I'm not also trying to work that is!) So this requires replacing my active income with passive income (and increasing total income to account for required lifestyle updates!) $120,000 per year.  (Replacing active income with passive also affords the time to try new ventures and experiences that I would not otherwise be able to do b/c all of that time is spent working to earn a living...)

2. Ability to travel with family 4 "big" trips (both domestic and international) per year.  This would, at least for the next  10 years or so, probably include bringing my parents along and/or a nanny to give adults some vacation time as well!  I once traveled from NY to Sydney, Australia in coach class seats and vowed never to do it again- so I'm looking at business class at a minimum, and nicer hotels than I've experienced so far!  Estimating $20,000 per trip, or $80,000 per year.

3.  Start-up Moolah!  I am full of ideas for businesses and inventions, for ways to help others see their own businesses and inventions become reality, as well as various marketing techniques that could result in huge returns but that require money up front to make them happen.  Gotta spend money to make money, so I would say I'd allocate a good $1 million here - but fully expect this "category" of my lifestyle to be self sustaining in time (businesses and inventions would begin earning money and replacing the money I've spent, and earning more than what I spend)

4. Some time for me.   Granted, I've pretty much accounted for the cost of this time in my first list item (having passive income supporting me, enabling me not to trade hours for dollars to earn a living) but it's so important to me to have this time that I'm including it here anyway!  Instead of writing for everyone else, I could write about things I want to write about for a change.  I could think about all the start up businesses and inventions and marketing ideas I want to try out.  I could read books for fun rather than just research/work purposes.  I could have time to hear myself think, and in return- become a better mom, daughter, and friend-  with more energy to devote to the kids since I'm allowing myself some time, as well.

The above 4 items cover my People & Passions.  What about possessions?  I discovered during this exercise that I'm not as focused or motivated by the possessions as I am the people and passions that are important to me.  That being said, a dream house is one of the few "possessions" I certainly would want, so I'll just include that here as well to finish out my list:

5.  There is a house on the corner of a quiet area in my town that everytime I drive by it, I say "I want that house."  So much so, that my 5 year old will now beat me to it and say "Mommy wants that house." as we approach it.   I would just like to relocate that house to waterfront property, so that it is a lot like being on vacation all the time! This photo is much more extreme than what I'm really looking for, but it sure does paint a pretty picture, doesn't it??

She needs a brighter future for her family. Mature women exploit their relationship expertise. They work for stable security and promote family development, closeness, and harmony. Immature women seek materialistic brighteners—more money, continuous shopping, unaffordable housing.

Those things are not that important to men. Their male nature focuses more on the present than the future. Wife expects husband to respond favorably to her wishes about their future. However, it takes skill so as not to interfere with his near-term thinking, interests, and plans.

Mature wives focus and coach husband on building and sustaining their marriage. Immature wives pressure husband for greater effort, for more and better of whatever he does. (When he never measures up, it sends loud messages that he’s inadequate and may even be insignificant.)

His needs are far simpler than hers. He only needs a place to flop, eat, throw his things, and prepare for tomorrow’s ‘battles’.

Such a place is easy to come by elsewhere. Consequently, in marriage he expects fun and comfort to compensate for loss of independence.

It’s her home to build and dominate. When she does it well, it’s a castle to him.

Tradeoffs leads to cooperation—good! Disrespect for their opposing natures leads to competition—ungood!

We all have pressures & stresses - from our own choices & from things beyond our control.  I'd encourage you to be mindful of how you deal with such pressures & stresses.  God designs our needs to be met in Him.

She’s driven to nest, nurture, and nestle with loved ones, and he’s the primary target in the early years.

But further, she expects him to produce, provide, protect, and problem-solve to assist with whatever she needs.

His naturally independent nature responds: He simply does the best he can. His best fades, however, if she fails to fully respect his primary self-interest, next.

He’s driven to make himself significant, to overcome Nature and other barriers, compete with men, succeed in the workplace, and shape human events. It’s his role in life, and progress and accomplishment are their own rewards.

Her naturally grateful heart responds: If he’ll do those things on my behalf, I’ll reward him for husbanding and fathering. 

Merging these natural differences compatibly leads to cooperation—good! Failure to recognize and respect these differences leads to competition—ungood!

Today, Amy brought over a beautiful purple dress for me to try on for the wedding. I was scared shitless when I saw that thing...was I going to fit?! Please, please, please let my fat ass fit into that thing without struggling. As soon as she left to use the bathroom, I quickly stripped off all my clothes and threw that sucker on.

OMG, I nearly cried...I did fit! It fit so beautifully! What the hell was I thinking? I had been losing alot of weight since the __________. I was afraid that if I had tried the dress on with Amy was there watching me...I would have probably had to squeeze my way through it. But no, my curves fit just beautifully.

More than ever, I want to workout...I'm starting to take interests in certain things (I can not name just yet) and I want to make sure I look awesome in it. No more treating my body bad, I am no longer a girl. I am a woman now, I have my needs, wants, and desires. This includes lust.

I am in charge of selecting the strippers for the BACHELORETTE party! MUHAHA

I..can..not..wait!! I suggest we have both male and female...I think it's better that way anyways. We'll just have to see what Amy thinks. 

Oct 26.27.28 - Vegas !!

My feelings were wariness and anxiousness. My needs behind these were freedom, autonomy and space. I can't remember the trigger.

I cried and was so happy that I cried as it was my body's way of telling me, all is not right. I sat with those needs for a while then went back to bed to sleep.

Today my feelings are a little different.

When I remember my boyfriend saying, "I'm in a relationship and I'm not happy with my life" on Saturday, I'm feeling annoyed, worn out, and concerned for myself. My needs are acceptance for who I am, self-expression and understanding. Therefore I'm giving myself permission to have this week alone to connect with myself.

I'm having a hard time balancing between looking after myself and supporting my boyfriend. While he is stressed and concerned about his work and talks to me about it, I've gotten so caught up in trying to 'fix' him or help him that I've let my own life get disorderly (haven't been to gym in a while, messy room, messy garage, files not in order, etc.). I'm so tired of hearing negativity from him I just want to get away from him and recuperate! How?

Well since I heard the news about my Uncle, I've been keeping to myself and trying to keep myself busy. My Uncle hasn't came home yet. I did notice though how my grandmother went all out her way to make her son comfortable...even going to buy him a brand new bed-set from Rent-a-center, but she couldn't even help me pay for my 42" tv that had to go back? Bullshit.

I'm promising myself, the next time I move out, there will be no moving back this will be my last time . Today, I felt what it would feel like if I wasn't here. I'm fine with that. Sometimes I wish I wasn't in my own skin so I kind of knew what it felt like all along. I don't know what let me put up with their bullshit. I don't what made me keep coming back. Seeing that my siblings are getting better with their attitudes and they're maturing up a little bit at a time. I have no reason to be here and they have no reason for me to be either.

I'm up in my room half of the time, mind as well say I'm not here. Mind as well be invisible. Mind as well leave, its like I already left. Half the time they think I'm gone so I mind as well be.

I am starting to think about packing, like the weather in all the places we're going and how to pack minimally gong up! I am making sure I have all the Time/Date/Places all figured out before we go. What are we doing where and what do we need etc? It's best to do as much as I can before we go so when we go, we just fall in place. Oh if it were a perfect world! But I make sure we've left room for changes and traffic and weather! Things out of our control and we KNOW it will happen. I believe God challenges us to truely reveal our walk with HIM! I love it (God's ways, not being challenged)! Because it surely challenges me and in most cases I say, "you;'re right God, when he says 'LET IT GO!" heeheee

• We have items in the storage unit to sell (table, chairs, 1966 malibu parts, wet/dry vac, ladder, etc)
• We need a projector to use during our travels in the states for our presentation , it can be returned to the owner after we leave Nov 7. Although we’ve been praying for one to use here in the field to show the Jesus film and other evangelical videos
• We need to buy tickets to return next year – so we’d need $800 for the four of us to come to the states in 2009 to keep our passports current and legal.
• We need to pay for luggage & pre-assigned seats to COME to the US or to RETURN to GUA on Spirit Air.

Eight bags is what we need round trip for a total is $190

They now charge for seat reservations *sigh* For the trips up and back, the total is $60

• We need to raise gas money for our tour. We have estimated $500 for gas total.
• Above all… just PRAYER… we cannot be here or there without it!!! In addition, please pray for our preparation, the print materials, the presentation, the limited packing and our home here while we’re gone, the ability to pay rent before we leave, pray for our travels (security with kids, carry ons and car seats), for use to bathe in GOD and give HIM the GLORY in it all!Again, Thank you!

I am a teenager who lives within a suburban town, and I watch and observe everything. I am known to be extremely tech-savvy, and with this savvy-ness I hope to answer any questions you have.
