Anyway...

This is my first blog entry. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure how this'll go. I am a terrible procrastinator, and every journal i've ever had has been totally neglected after the first three entries. But this'll be different...right?

Here I will just kind of talk about my life, hobbies/obsessions, and other stuff. I guess I don't really mind if I get a whole bunch of readers, because I just have felt like lately i need a record of my adolescence. So i guess this is more for me that anything, which is how a blog should be.

...but if you feel like commenting, go for it! I would like to hear back from people from time to time!

Now, onto the rest of the entry!

At the moment, I'm waiting for my mom to finish getting ready so we can leave. Today, her and I are going back to school shopping and signing me up for dance classes. Money's a little tight, so i could only take 2 classes, so i chose ballet 1 and tap 1. I'm so excited!!! (≧∇≦)　I have had no previous experience dance-wise, so this will be really fun.

Plus, it'll be good for my body, too! (I hate to say this, but I have really crappy self esteem. So be prepared for that in the future... ～(￣∀￣；)

On a brighter note, I got the CUTEST jacket from the mall yesterday! Along with a really cute sweater! I'm wearing the jacket right now, I'll take a picture of it and post it later! Unfortunately I am currently using my mom's old phone until I get a new one for my bday. What kind should I get...?

Oh, my mom's ready. I'm glad I got to post such a long entry today.

Art of the Day: Asian Hydrangea Bloom by Edo Painters

I don't typically enjoy Asian art. That's not completely true. Obviously by my posting this picture. But my mother loves it. I think her house would be a perfect replica of a traditional Chinese home if she could. I like Asian colors and designs that that use in their fabrics. Their paintings are much more muted in alot of cases and I guess that may have something to do with why I'm not as much of a fan of the art work.

Sorry about no post yesterday. I found myself sitting at the laptop at 10:30pm and I still hadn't even started a post for the day. And I was exhausted. It's official that I can't write both a blog and a chapter of my story in one day. Because yesterday I wrote one or two chapters and was completely blogged out. I had no words left.

I found an interesting article online today. And when I say interesting, I mean weird. The world is discussing ownership rights of the moon. You heard me, the moon. Apparently several countries are planning to go back to the moon and set up little moon camps. This is all fascinating, really, but doesn't it cost millions and millions ...and millions of dollars to go to the moon? And let me just check this... but isn't the moon basically just a big rock? Yeah, I thought so. Oh, don't get me wrong. It's a beautiful rock. And going would be very cool. But I don't think it ranks above using those millions and millions and ...millions of dollars to help this planet. Ya know, the one with people on it. If we can't even feed our own people and NOT destroy our own ecosystems, do you really think going to the moon is a good idea? We're more likely to screw it up and Earth in the process than do any good. And the very fact that they aren't even there yet and are discussing 'property rights' doesn't bode well. Forget Star Wars, I see Moon Wars in our future.

I brought up the fact that my sister had a miscarriage the other day in my blog. What I didn't mention was what I was doing when I found out. I was in the process of writing a chapter for my story about a threatened abortion which is just another term for an almost miscarriage. It was bizarre on so many levels. But one thing that is true about me, I don't like to talk about these types of things. The ones that cut too close to home and hurt. So I'm done with this subject for now.

I had an old man repeatedly check out my chest in conversation today. Usually I am pretty oblivious to these type of things. That or they just don't happen. I'm going to go with oblivious. But I had a cliche moment with this man because for maybe the second time in my life I actually felt the desire to say, "I'm up here." It's not like I have a great rack either. Small chested female present and accounted for. Guess it wasn't too much of a problem with this guy. And he was old so the first time he did it I almost looked down thinking I had spilled something on my shirt or somehow I was exposing myself and hadn't become aware of it.

My Aunt Josie is coming in tomorrow. She'll be coming by my apartment at some point so I have to have it sparkling clean. It is WAY far from that now so even though for once I am dog tired at ten and ready to go to bed I'm going to be up all night cleaning. Figures. Damn procrastination.

Many conspiracists would be happy to see the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter prove them wrong. They just doubt it will.

After last night's "Mythbusters" show about the Apollo Moon Landing Hoax Myth, I'm cautiously hopeful that at least some people who believe(d) in this myth had their eyes opened and minds changed. Alas, there will always be folks out there who for some reason are set on not believing scientists, engineers or the government and won't subscribe to any type of proof, be it scientific or television-ific. Perhaps the upcoming Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter mission will be able to take hi-resolution images of one of the Apollo sites.

Who owns the moon???

At first you could own your moon in your backyard. Now, we are talking about owning your backyard on the moon. That's definite progress for mankind!

Now after fighting over the land by calling them countries. We are now graduating to fight over the land on the moon!! That's improvement. It's interesting times ahead! I can already see the Hindu's claiming the moon as theirs as God Siva has the moon mounted on his head (Lord Siva is also called 'Chandrachoodan'. Check out this illustration and note the moon on his forehead).. The Muslims also have the moon in their religious symbol. For the Christians... well, I couldn't google out anything that links the moon to Christianity. But, no worries. Somebody somewhere would 'figure out' some mythology/theory linking Christianity with the moon and soon we can have unemployed, illiterate morons blowing themselves up on the earth and the moon trying to force the 'Infidels' out of their country.

Hasn't this been the story? Everyone these days seem to be very happy in blaming and branding the muslims as 'the' terrorist culture on earth. But, stop. Take a look at the history. Almost all the religions have a very bloody past. All the religions have been involved in what would be called today as terrorism or barbaric acts. The Hindus (remember the ancient hindu kings of India?), Christians (read Da Vinci code), Budhists (Remember the budhist monks who practiced martial arts), Sikhs (Operation blue star in India?), the Mayans, the Aztecs, the Egyptians... the list goes on. Every civilization, every religion even embraced by humans have led them to fight among themselves in the name of god, lifestyle, color, creed and most importantly land or in other words their homelands.

Within the next 10 years, the U.S., China, Israel, and a host of private companies plan to set up camp on the moon. So if and when they plant a flag, does that give them property rights?

A NASA working group hosted a discussion this week to ask: Who owns the moon? The answer, of course, is no one. The Outer Space Treaty, the international law signed by more than 100 countries, states that the moon and other celestial bodies are the province of all mankind. No doubt that would irk all of the people throughout the ages, like monks from the Middle Ages, who have tried to claim the moon was theirs.

But ownership is different from property rights. People who rent apartments, for example, don't own where they live, but they still hold rights. So with all of the upcoming missions to visit the moon and beyond, space industry thought leaders are seriously asking themselves how to deal with a potential land rush, cowboy-style.

This line of the song seems so appropriate today for some reason. However, it is purely coincidence that this wsa the next line of the song.

Yes, it's  odd title for a post, but I am working my way through the songs of Hair for the Hair Festival. Don't worry, I will stick to the safe songs and promise not to post a series of entries each titled from lines of Sodomy. So! Hair Fair! My first post after Hair Fair opened was about this stunning hair from Exile that I had noted when it was first shown on the feed and my mad dash to get it during the sneak peek. So, imagine my surprise when I signed on and received a lovely thank you gift....and yet another hair style that I really like. This time with  a cap that changes color with a simple touch.

I started off today by putting on the Kaya Brown outfit from PixelFashion. It comes with a lovely short pleated skirt and tights. However, it's cold and I felt like pants. So I added the highwasisted brown pants from Muism. I think this jacket actually looks better with pants than with a skirt. The clean lines of the pants are much less busy than a pleated skirt and let your eyes travel and appreciate the fine design.

I added just the  bottoms of Stiletto moody's tall croc boots - so that I needed worry about the calf prim and the pants prim being incompatible. The jacket comes iwth a scarf, but I removed in favor of the Curio Group gift  from their opening

One afternoon Mum and I drove down to the beach for a quick look round and, quite by accident, I got some amazing shots of the full moon in a bright deep-blue sky, seen through the long grass. I have used the images over and over and over; and will continue to do so. Here is the latest moon painting. This one is acrylic on 30x40" gallery wrap canvas and is heading for exhibition in Auckland in September.

SHE IS....always there when i need someone to talk to. Alot of the time she doesnt say much but it doesnt matter because just the sight & thought of seeing her every night fills an empty hole that craves to constantly be filled with uhhh iono..."love."

I guess it sucks how i always have to watch the entire day go bye before our "eyes" meet and "souls" clash sorta speak. every time i see her i have so many questions that elude my mind seconds before. it's hard...ya'no to catch your breath as it's taken away by something so beautiful.

i ask...

             "why does it have to be like this?"

she doesnt answer so i get mad, upset, fustrated, etc.,

I ask so patiently awaiting the "perfect" answer for every question...or just the answer i want to hear? she never judges me even though she has ben there from DAY 1 to see how my life unfolds everyday. although when it's time to meet im always alone in the dark, until.....she comes...slowy, carefully, gracefully. i watch as she lights up my life night by night. "after every dark night comes a bright day" that's what she teaches me. i never have to look for her because she finds me. when i turn around she is there watching me. she brings a brighter light to the dark path i walk.

nope....not in a million years because the love we have for each other...well...let's just say YOU can relate. funny...i always thought i'd find "this" somewhere in an unknown destination but contrarry to popular believe, "it's" been closer than i thought. no matter what I do, how far I go, what I become...the mistress i speak of will be there. "in the beginning i only planned on sharing my world with her but now as this thing called "life" reveals itself to me more and more each day i know that i want to share my life with her." i sit back and wonder...if she is perfect..yea,yea,yea...i know what they say..."no one is perfect" but if she isn't i dont know what is. nah she dont cook me no meals, she doesnt rub back when it's sore, she doesnt give me the kiss i await for each day, she doesnt even say "i love you." but like i said she doesnt speak much but LISTENING is perfect for now until that day were we can join each other among the rest of the stars...

I have noticed that my recent visitors were mostly searching for Moon and Mars on August 27, 2008. After reading a few astronomy blogs about this, I realized that these people were victims of the Mars Hoax - where Mars will become as big as the full moon. This rumor has been going around since 2003.

Those mythbusters folks are pretty thorough so this should be interesting. I actually won't be home in time to watch it live, but I programmed the DVR two days ago to record it, so I plan to watch as soon as I get home.

A few months ago my co-worker David actually flew in the same microgravity airplane as the main guys (Adam and Jamie) while they were filming for the moon episode. This is actually a picture David took with his iPhone during the flight.
