Very high chance of failing aural perception. I don't even know how to answer the first extract! The part on Haydn was worse, couldn't understand what the essay wants, so practically crapped.
For one question, it said something like 'Write about how Haydn has influenced the people around him'
& i wrote 'Therefore, Haydn did not influence Beethoven at all.'

Prelim day 8: English paper1 and paper2.

Took a very long time to choose a compo to write for paper1. Chose the ideal holiday thing. Whatever that came into my mind, tadah, I just conveniently throw into my composition :/
& I don't quite understand the passage and the questions. Summary content was too short, didn't really know how to summarise.

Prelim day 9 (today): Elective Geography and Physics paper2.

I'm not sure about the questions on rivers and coasts, but the other three questions are from TYS! I could remember some answers for the questions I did, natural vegetation and development. Almost wanted to do the question on food (didn't realise it was food that time) but realised that the LORMS question was food which I merely flipped through. I hope I can score for this paper.

Physics paper2 wasn't as hard as I thought. Some questions really were from TYS. I don't know how to do some though, but I am quite sure that this time will turn out much better than SA1.
Hope I can score too!

School ends at 3pm tomorrow. Like wth, last year's programmes are almost the same as this year and we get to leave at 10plus. Now? 3PM?! Damn.
I thought teachers want to go back early to celebrate teachers day one, why must stay until 3pm? We don't even stay till so late during prelim period. Grahhhhhhh :(

For me, its kinda of happy and sad (mix feelings). Happy 'cos finally there will be no more exams/tests, lectures, notes, books and projects! At the same time, I feel sad 'cos it has signalled to me that I will be entering that cruel and boring working society soon.

Hai~ anyway, think its perhaps time for me to MOVE ON liao...Afterall, I'm not getting any younger now. Well, its really time for me to move up to my next phase of life le...A time for me to stay FOCUS on my 6Cs (Career, Car, Cash, Credit Cards, Condominium & Country Club)! I did the first five questions happily, 'Why so easy ah?' came into my mind. Question 6 wasn't that bad, but still, I screwed up that question.

As well as that geometrical proof question, could only do part (a) -.- (I didn't, DIDN'T attempt a single question of geometrical proof).

Before exam, I was telling Yiting, 'May the force be with you!', cuz Mrs Lim was speaking into the mic and I thought of that all of a sudden, Mrs Lim said that to us mah.
I was damn worried that I will have cramps halfway during exam because, ahem.. It hurt a little before exam but everything was fine, thankfully :)
Bertrand told us that somebody (he thought that's the right way) went to use PYTHAGORAS THEOREM to find the height of ramp during physics practical. Hahaha. Is that considered as an honours mistake? :P
I mean, it CAN be done. But.. Didn't they provide us with a ruler? :X
I finished reading one set of notes of Haydn's life, but is it really in my brain? That one I'm not sure.

I'm left with romantic period, 20th century, world music (chinese, indian, kompang, indonesian gamelan, african, japanese) to study. Vunderful!
& not forgetting the analysing of the symphony by Haydn. Haiis :(

So I went in to tuition class and asked for plaster. Caryn gave me this. She said it was her favourite plaster. Haha :D  

The incredibles!! Hahaha. I came home and peeled off the bloody part and kept it lor :P

Went to school today thinking that I'll be able to sit on the benches outside the staffroom as it wasn't raining, and I don't have to bend my leg so much or something, but..
Some idiot guy was happily sitting there. ARGH. My poor knee :(

Today's chemistry paper2 IN CLASS. Had to limp all the way up to the fourth floor -.-
The paper wasn't as tough as I thought, but as usual, two marks due to careless mistake gone already. Hopefully I don't have anymore careless mistakes, or if better, no more mistakes made :x

I'm dreading later. There's music later and I haven't completed mrs chan's homework. Gosh :(

Examination of the wreckage began the morning after the crash

Accident investigators have begun examining the wreckage of a plane that crashed at Madrid's Barajas airport, leaving 153 passengers dead.

They will also start to analyze the flight data and voice recorders, which have both been recovered.

Three days of official mourning have been declared in Madrid, as relatives arrive at a makeshift mortuary in the capital to identify bodies.

Nineteen people survived the crash and several are critically hurt.

Of the 19 survivors of Spanair flight JK 5022, four are listed as being in a "very serious" condition, with another six only slightly better, Spain's El Pais newspaper reported on Thursday. Eight remain under observation with one only slightly injured, the newspaper said.

Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero is expected to visit the injured in Madrid's hospitals, while King Juan Carlos will visit Barajas airport.

Experts at a temporary mortuary near the airport say work to identify the dead is likely to be slow and painstaking, as many of the bodies were badly burned in Wednesday's inferno.

"The worst is the identification of the bodies," Red Cross spokesman Jesus Lopes Santana told the El Mundo newspaper.

"It is the end of all hope and when we see the worst scenes, because the majority of the relatives break down when they hear the news."

The Spanair flight, bound for Las Palmas in the Canary Islands, took off on Wednesday lunchtime with 172 people on board, among them 10 crew.

Initial reports suggested that a fire had broken out in one of the MD82 plane's engines during or shortly after take-off, and the plane ended up in a field.

Spanish Transport Minister Magdalena Alvarez said the plane had earlier begun taxiing to the runway, before turning back because of a technical problem, which had caused an hour's delay in the take-off.

Spanish media said the pilot had reported a fault with a temperature gauge, but it was thought to have been fixed.

Speaking on Thursday, Ms Alvarez said a thorough investigation would be carried out, with a full examination of the flight recorders and available pictures, but that it was very early to draw conclusions about the crash.

A special independent commission has been established to probe the cause of the crash, Spanish media reported.

Spanair has released the official passenger manifest, confirming reports that 20 children and two babies were on board the plane.

Among those who survived were three children, aged six, eight and 11, reports said. At least one of the 19 survivors has yet to be identified.

Overnight a long convoy of black hearses rolled out of the airport grounds to carry bodies to the makeshift mortuary, where the victims' relatives had gathered, some of whom had traveled from the Canary Islands.

The convention center on the outskirts of the capital was also used as a mortuary after the Madrid train bombings four years ago.

Many of the relatives have expressed anger and disgust at Spanair, blaming it for the accident.

He says the injured include a young brother and sister, who immediately asked rescue workers about their parents.

Spanish ministers said foul play had been ruled out and the crash was considered to be an accident.

The 15-year-old plane had passed a safety inspection in January, said Sergio Allard, a spokesman for Spanair, which is owned by Scandinavian firm SAS.

Spanish media said some German, Swedish, Chilean and Colombian nationals had been among the passengers.

'All destruction'

Another rescue worker, Pablo Albella, told AP news agency: "The fuselage is destroyed. The plane burned. I have seen a kilometer of charred land and few whole pieces of the fuselage. It is all destruction."

Messages of sympathy have been sent to Spain by leaders around the world.

The presidents of Russia, France and Italy, Germany's chancellor and Britain's queen joined with Latin American leaders in sending their condolences.

It was the deadliest air accident in Spain since a Colombian airline's Boeing 747 crashed in Madrid in 1983 killing 181 people.

Everyone is and I am not especially hardworking. Yes! People will start saying all the crap that I am talking crap but let look it this way. I shouldn't be blogging at such point of time when tomorrow paper is at 9AM. I should be taking pictures, uploading it and posting it. And more over, who on earth study with no papers flying around. At least for me, I need them to fly to the rubbish bin.

This time round, when I am studying, I kept drawing circles and lines on my notes. And make it as messy as possible. Reason being, I don't wish to see the notes again and I am assuming that I will not. Who the hell love such unrealistic stuff. Counting income for others but not yourself? That is rather sad isn't it. Counting zeros to make sure it is a million instead of hundred thousand. That is just sad. I just hope that the zeros I counted today are mine. In monetary forms! Not marks forms!

Going on, though tomorrow is the end of my paper, I have to study and prepare for the coming IT exhibition. Know the facts and stuff. Adding on, I have to start preparing for my coming advance driving test theory. There isn't an end to studying isn't it? Need some fresh air!

I am stuck in Singapore for the holiday. Maybe I will have a chance to go Hong Kong again. I don't mind going because I serious need a break from this real world and the people around. I just notice I am in a dark room with no one around when it is super crowd. That emptiness. Though I smile to friends, talk to friends, said Hi but it seems empty too. Understanding why but that is left after examination is over. TGIF! Friday is my last day of examination. OMG! TTTTTTTGIF!

Don't you think studying with such environment is good? That is just distracting! Trust me!

I DAY-DREAMED!

I am so glad final exams are over. It was a 2 week's exam, 4 papers and 2 solid months of preparations. 2 months confronting lecture notes, reading it ever so thoroughly. Page after page, from left to right, up and down. I am so familiar with each pages that I can read out loud without having to look at it. *Well maybe a few glances here and there* I can even give my own lecture. I bet I am better than the lecturers!! ;)

Stayed up til early morning and slept for a mere 6 hours per day. 6 hours may be a lot for some people but for me, I need a ten hour's sleep to function normally. I'm crappy and moody without enough sleep.

This time around, now that I'm in Year 2, the papers are a lot tougher. A lot a lot tougher. My finger is a bit swollen because I wrote too much. The last paper was a torture, I couldn't hold the pen properly let alone write. Writing three hours for each paper, its a wonder my finger didn't break.

I'm sick of studying!

Woke up at 7plus in the morning and bathed, left house at 8am. Took 173 which came at 8.10am, reached school at 8.30am, 45 minutes early :D

Went to put handphone in locker with Yiting and went back to canteen and waited for the teachers to come and take our attendance. Went to our first locked up area at the studio and went to lab for practical.

Xuanyang broke a test tube during chem prac. Haha. He was like, "Eh nice leh, see one circle! Yellow colour somemore!"

Anyway, I think I kinda screwed up the practical.

Went to hall after the practical. Had bag check and left.

Today's first shift, so had to assemble in school as usual. Didn't bring handphone to school today cause I was scared that I don't have time to put it in the locker, my locker 4th floor leh :(
Went straight to chem lab and had our bio prac. Horrible. Time was wasted because there wasn't enough ice. I went forward thrice just for ice okay.

Yiting requested mdm nora to switch off the fans since our experiment was on temperature. But guess what, teacher switched off the fans of the first row only! -_______-
So, okay, forget it. But the thing is, after we completed our experiment on the temperature thing, mrs lim came and switched off all the fans, when our 2nd part of the prac didn't require temperature.

Anyway, I think I screwed up bio practical more than chemistry practical. Forget it, over anyway.

Went up to our lock up area at the hall at about 9.45am. So boring please, sat there and did revision and chat. I went for ALL the toilet breaks, haha. I really went for one, another is cause I was too bored in the hall. Lol.
2nd shift people came in at about 11.40am, and the hall became SUPER NOISY. People start playing badminton can. Lol.
Oh ya, during our lock up period in the hall, me, shunyu and lina LIED down on the floor and did our stuffs ^^
Heehee, so unglam. Girls leh. Lol.
Then after that we lied on each others back. Heheeee. So cool :D

We were suppose to be locked up in the hall till 12.05pm, but because a girl from 3rd shift hadn't turn up, we had to wait till she turned up. Waited.. Till 1pm! Gosh, we were locked up there for THREE hours and FIFTEEN minutes leh! Very long lor. In the end she didn't turn up -.-
3rd shift people started earlier than 12pm can, and I think they left only half an hour later than us. Not much of difference eh? :(

Tomorrow's physics practical. I'm just worried about practical extension :(

Came home and read through chemistry practical file, memorised those flame tests things and read through practical extension as well. I think I should be okay for chem practical.
What I'm worried about now is bio practical, but it isn't so bad because weng helped me! :D

I can't wait till next Sunday or so. I can't wait to go to Yamaha at Plaza Sing to get my Schubert impromptus score!

At least it is worth spending the time to watch the game this afternoon as I didn't study but just sitting there watching the game. But am quite disappointed at the performance of one player in the team because the game could have ended so much earlier. Instead of going through all 5 matches, I was expecting 4. I know it was tough. But seriously have to say well done to the last player for that winning the last game. I was saying "Relax! Relax! Relax!" while watching because at a point, she wasn't playing very well and kept making mistakes. But must be glad that that Korean made the very last beautify mistake even when she is very careful with every stroke.

But still very happy that Singapore won the game because I will regret watching if they lose. Some hopes for breakthrough and going beyond I believe. I hope some hopes for me to pass my paper will shine on me on Monday. I am not prepared for such a paper yet. Exam are killing kids.

Ms Lim came in before Physics today. She told Shimin and I not to be shy and just say. Haha.

Xuanyang was there joking and stuffs, which caused Yiting, Shunyu and I to laugh while waiting for our turn. Lol. Felt really nervous that time. Felt slightly better during the 10 minutes preparation of the passage and picture. It was okay.

My turn came. Screwed a little on my passage. 'Crowded' became 'clouded'. Wth, but I was like, heck, just continue reading. Picture was rather fluent I guess, hopefully I don't fail picture again.

First question was pretty easy for me, talked about Chinese Calligraphy competitions which i usually go for. However.. When the examiner asked the 2nd question, I totally stunned and stopped for a moment. I answered her but not exactly alot, so I had one more prompting, which i doubt I answered very well either.
Okay, i hope i pass everything and score at least 28/40 or something. I'll be happy with that.

Thanks to many people who helped me with oral (especially Ms Lim and Clive). I hope I do score for oral this time :/

I've been busy with my exams and then when it got finished I was getting destressed from the stress that exams give me! So on the account of destressing I had been to Mysore for a "shong" vacation (now don't wonder what is shong!! it’s the intermediate form of short and long ;) ). Then went to some temples to get myself purified (after the sins that i had created studying so much) and came back to Bangalore (or rather bengalooooru) a week before!

First were the lab exams. We had 3 lab exams CHEM, CAED & CCP (CCP=Computer concepts& C Programming). The first 2 went well without ne hiccups, but the last one was a living hell (@least for me).

The procedure of the exam was: First we had to pick 2 bits of papers on which’ll be written the programs we had to execute. I got some easy ones, (easy coz I knew the whole program by heart and thank god they did not ask the logic of the program). I don’t know what was the problem with me.. The first program went smoothly n i finished it by 30 minutes in the allocated 180. The problem was with the 2nd one!!! I don’t know what I missed but whatever I did couldn't get the correct output!!! And to add to my woes there was this anti-mech lecturer who was the in charge that day... I was busy scratching my head n thinking bout the program, he comes to me and here goes the conversation

Anti-mech lec: yaakappa! Program gothilva??? (Hey! don't u know the program?)

Me: I know it sir! But I’m not getting the correct output..:(

A-m lec: (he saw the whole program once ) ayyo this his haal logical yerrors!! You only have to solve Hit (I guess he had trouble pronouncing "I" he used "hi", I almost laughed when he first said it).

I just grinned @ him n said ok Saar I’ll check it out!! :| Then he must have shut his ass and moved but he continued

"U mech peepal are only like this, you don't understand anything". This irritated me more!!Coz I did not call him to look @ my errors and make these nasty comments @ my branch! What was he doing here :x

Then was the viva!!

A-m lec: yenri program execute aaitha??? (Did u execute the program?)

Me: yes Saar!! Aaithu (yes sir! I finished it)

A-m lec: what do you know in c programming??

Me: Whatever is there in the text book, I know sir!

A-m lec: oh you know the full text book is it?? Then answer this (he then asked me some 10 questions and I answered then satisfactorily)

But then his last question was "What r the three types of "for" loop”: (I thought for minute then answered him) sir 1. Simple "for", 2. Nested "for" and 3. Ladder "for”...

He scratched his head for a second!! I wondered what he was thinking!! Was I correct?? Oh!!!! F#$k I remembered those were the 3 types of "if statement " (This is why I hate this subject! I can’t remember even simple things, it’s so confusing):0

Then he said u mech guys u don’t have minnimum common sense!!! (Again he was blaming the whole branch just for my mistake). I thought of banging the comp placed next to him on his head!! But thought against it as it was my exam & wd spoil the silent ambiance in the lab! He gave me 5 out of 7, I was happy for my effort!! But had to gulp down 3 grape juices to calm myself down from those nasty comments!!!

Then came the theory exams!! we had some 15 days to study but I wasted 90% of that just by wandering around ( because I usually study only in the last 3 days before the exam!!) so was quite happy enjoying the rest of the days !!! 1st July was my first exam and again it was the dreaded ccp (I always wondered how the cs students lived!!! just 4 months of "c prog" drove me nuts). When I was given the question paper in the exam hall, I had a "WTF" expression on my face! I knew just about 60% of the paper and the case was not totally different with the other students either, coz the remaining 40% was totally irrelevant to what we had in the syllabus!! Then I remembered the first de in my engineering a lecturer had told us"" VTU="EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED"" :( . We finished the exam n came out, most of the students had the same expression that I had b4. The other exams were quite easy, unlike the shock that we had from the first paper!! I finished my exams on the 15 th and enjoyed a long or a rather shong vacation!! Now 8 des more for the 3rd semester to begin! I’m worried about another set of shocks from VTU!!! I hope I become "Havells"(u know it’s shock proof)!!
