What is sex addiction? I found the Psych Central explanation to this problem rather interesting.

Sexual addiction is best described as a progressive intimacy disorder characterized by compulsive sexual thoughts and acts. Like all addictions, its negative impact on the addict and on family members increases as the disorder progresses. Over time, the addict usually has to intensify the addictive behavior to achieve the same results.

For some sex addicts, behavior does not progress beyond compulsive masturbation or the extensive use of pornography or phone or computer sex services. For others, addiction can involve illegal activities such as exhibitionism, voyeurism, obscene phone calls, child molestation or rape.

Sex addicts do not necessarily become sex offenders. Moreover, not all sex offenders are sex addicts. Roughly 55 percent of convicted sex offenders can be considered sex addicts.

Does David Duchovny love to have lots of sex? His wife, actress Tea Leoni, is quite atractive. Maybe he wants more action than she does. Has he been involved in obscene phone calls, child molestation or rape? The details are lacking.

I certainly would like more sex activity. My wife and I were very active up to a few years ago (I am almost as old as John McCain so I have slowed down a lot. Damn it!). What a great topic for Larry King to explore.

YAY!!! Three day weekend, I'm leaving work early, I'm going to happy hour with my girls...and you got great news.

There are many reasons to be feeling good right now! In your language: w00t!!

*********

Tonight (if I don't get too carried away at HH) I will catch up on my blog reading, give my dog a bath (he won't be too happy about that), pack a little and get ready to leave in the morning.

I will miss you boy....but I'm totally okay with that. No more pining! Instead I look forward to the next time we get to talk. And I know we will both enjoy our weekend now.

Yay for us!

*********

I might write more here later...

Oh, yeah! Boss boy will be at HH again tonight...so we shall see. He left a message for me the other day...but it was randomly vague and he said he'd call back at a later time...which he didn't. Hmm...

By the way: What is up with guys these days? Why do they drop the ball? If they weren't that interested, why bother in the first place? Unless they think asking for a phone number will get them more than that...like, immediately.

Stupid guys.

I'm sure there will be something to share later...good, bad or indifferent!

*********

Goodbye dear friend. w00t!!

Confession is like a colonic
It’s real scary laying on the table, but feels real good getting

Confession is like a colonic

It's real scary laying on the table, but feels real good getting it out- Delbert Fingerlike

My fist confession today is, the choice Senator John McCain chose for his Vice President running mate this day. This in my experience; I was doing some work here at my PC, when I checked the New York Times and read where Senator had picked his running mate for Vice President.

I found myself full of joy and wonder. My heart leaped withing me. This is very odd for me to respond this way, in political "stuff". But that is what happened. My response was unsympathetic to my personal emotional control.

So what is the way out of this emotion and what if any, does it mean? Perhaps nothing.

So here's the deal. At the end of this blog is a comment section. Confess something here, anything (please nothing vulgar) make up a name.....whatever. Just get it off your chest.

I know expressing my political view here will find some put off by all this. Well God bless America. The privilivge of conscience and expressing in words or pen, men and women have given their lives that you and I can express our views. It is a gift of God.

We do not have to be handcuffed in our voice, though my second confession is; I am a people pleaser, or as the Holy Scripture proclaims, the "fear of man".

I have made this choice from a self centered fear of not getting what I want or fear of losing what I have. The fear of man is a thief. I am not a victim here, a willing conspirator with fear. In biblical language it is called Idolatry.

Thank God, there is a remedy Jesus gives me, forgiveness and repentance. How many times can I be forgiven, 7 times 70 in spiritual language. What this means to earth suited people is; just keep multiplying until you no longer have to do it. I have arrived, mature repentance.

Who will be our Next President and Vice President fo the United States?

Confess and profess.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (Amplified Bible) says it this way-

If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

I don’t love you.

No, really. I try. I put in the hours. I give it the old gung ho effort, but even at my very best I fall short. Seems it is not merely a matter of using the right tools, or learning the right methods, I can’t just will it to be or force myself. There’s a part of me that really wants to love you, to do right by you, to protect you and help to fulfill God’s plan for your life but even on my best days, and there aren’t many of those, I’m not very good at it.

That doesn’t mean it’s not something to strive for. Our reach is so short but we reach all the same. If you can’t do what you want, do what you can. Frankly, Christians that get into that, “I’m saved by grace alone and I’m not under law so I have no moral obligations in Christ” crowd make me want to hurl. Get real. Get serious. Get over yourself. That kind of simplistic antinomian drivel might work on smothering the rasps of your oxygen staved conscience but nobody with the tiniest amount of common sense is going to fall for that kind fakery. You are suspect, if not scandalous.

It’s quackery for theophobes.

There are some groups that think that the Christian should reach and experience moral perfection in this life. Pahleezze. As if. I’ve met quite a few of the glorious redeemed in my day and none of them seemed quite as morally excellent as they thought themselves to be. We can only consider ourselves to have reached that spire of moral excellence if we either whittle it down to a more manageable size by changing the nature of the claim, or, are sadly deluded. Jesus was good, the rest of us, not so much.

If they choose to whittle… they make trivial things like drinking and smoking and going to movies into serious moral dilemma and then avoiding their little manmade miasma of moral woes they crown themselves ethical sovereigns of their own devise. That is not ethics. That is not even sacrifice. It is merely natural human works of self-discipline. There’s nothing wrong with self-discipline. There’s nothing especially Christian about it either.

Try loving your neighbor as yourself sometime. Geez, Try loving you ENEMIES. Now you’re talking serious morality. That is step up time. Someone that hates you. Someone that spitefully uses you; steals from you; accuses you; spits on what you love or loves all that you hate. Try getting past race. Try getting past gender. Try getting past pride and or vanity; whichever you prefer. I prefer the later. Try loving God and your neighbor perfectly in thought, word, and deed, 24-7. Anything less requires either consequences or intercession. Sanctions or remediation. Justice or mercy. Take mercy.

God’s laws are the expression of His moral nature relative to those created in His image. He will not lower His standards.

“Thank God for the imputation of the Active righteousness of Christ. No hope without it.” Machen.

Amen Brother.

For the online buyers of handguns for sale, you don’t have to worry about the security of the transaction when you’re dealing with buds. Buds has been dealing with consumers who are looking for affordable handguns since 2003. In fact they have customer help information to secure all the legalities in buying firearms from their website, they too sell law enforcement products like the kimber pistols and rifles used in combat. So if you’re looking for affordability, credibility and legalities, buds gun shop has stood up to its expectation. And only buds deserve your vote to buy the best handguns for sale.

Es un disco acogedor, dulce, con saxos cojonudos (The cycle repeats, Musical journey), teclados estupendos ( It's a new day), de un romanticismo ingenuo (el hitazo para tardes de noviembre In all the wrong places), y mucho ritmo (Tempted, Keep it alive!). Imprescindible.

God fucked with Job. He messed up his skin. He did other things. He challenged Job not to believe in

God fucked with Job. He messed up his skin. He did other things. He challenged Job not to believe in God. Job never gave up. He knew some day he would be rewarded.

Well, God started the Job thing with Aggies when Dino Babers came to town. Then Carl Torbush took it to a new level. Everyone blames Dennis because they should, because he hired Torbush, but Dennis was simply not an Aggie. Jackie Sherrill became an Aggie. Dennis Franchione didn’t.

A lot of people like to complain about the Dennis offense. The Dennis offense wasn’t as bad as some of the Slocum offenses, but the defense was like a mister fan. People like Todd Blythe could run through it and feel cool.

Dennis is gone. Aggie fans, like Job, shouldn’t have to suffer forever. Mike Sherman was brought in to take over a confused team and give hope to battered fan base. This is a dude that had an impressive NFL record. He won’t give you “showering with your sister” quotes, but he also won’t throw shit out there like “half of the teams lose every week.” He knows what is expected of him. The question is, can he deliver? The early reviews are positive, but of course he hasn’t coached a game.

The out of conference schedule for the Aggies is very tough for a Big 12 school. Army and Arkansas State should be pushovers, but a game at New Mexico and a home test against Miami will give Aggie fans a good idea of where this team is entering conference play.

Over the past two years, the Aggies have won more Big 12 championships than any other school. The problem is that none of those have been in football. It won’t happen this year, but Sherman is hoping to take the Aggies to the next level as soon as next year. He wakes up every day and thanks God he’s not coaching at Nebraska.

Offensively, the Aggies are changing their scheme to a pro style offense, almost a west coast offense. Taking a quarterback who led the team in rushing last year and turning him into Steve Young may be a challenge, but in high school he slung the pigskin around pretty well. That’s all fine and good, but the real challenge is to get the defense to stop people, get turnovers, and to just create havoc. If Joe Kines can get the defense to work like it used to work, then the Ags can have a good season.

Defensively, Kines will line up most of the time in something called a 3-3-5. That sounds a lot like a 4-2-5, except you take one away from the four and add it to the two. The first team line looks good and the secondary looks pretty good, but the linebackers are not up to par. Maybe they’ll come along. Maybe an attacking scheme and the lack of a read and react mentality will make them play faster. There’s no way to tell until after we’ve seen a couple of games. Apparently, Sherman also puts an emphasis on special teams. I guess that means we won’t see Tim Van Zandt returning punts.

Aggies don’t lie, cheat or steal. Those are things we don’t do. We’re taught not to do those things. Dennis did all three of things. He lied when he told teams to get their licks in during his first season because things would change. He cheated by going against NCAA rules to send out injury reports to a private email group. We paid good money for those emails, but it was wrong. He ended up stealing a bunch of money. A couple of million a year and he lost to the likes of Iowa State. Embarrassing.

Texas A&M is probably the most hated school in the Big 12. There are a lot of things that are different in College Station, like the yells, standing up, living memorials, scoreboards for mascots, and the list goes on. But, there’s also a lot of pride down there, even after the past five years. I think Sherman realizes that and hopefully he can embrace these things and use them to his advantage. The water balloon fight was a good start. It should become a tradition.

The conference schedule looks promising. The Aggies play northern foes Kansas State and Colorado at home and travel to Bayloresque Iowa State. All of those games are winnable, although Colorado can beat anyone and can also lose to anyone. They travel to Oklahoma State, Baylor, and Texas and play conference favorites Oklahoma and Texas Tech at home. The toughest road game other than New Mexico looks to be Texas. Missouri isn’t even on the schedule. If a couple of balls bounce the right way, the Aggies could be a factor this season.

I’m glad the season is finally here. Sherman will get the team to play a little bit smarter and the Aggies should finish up with a .500 record in conference play and 7-5, maybe 8-4 overall. The suffering isn’t over for Aggie fans, but at least there’s some hope. Of course, if Arkansas State wins this weekend, all bets are off.

Friends,

Friends,

I'm am speechless after listening to Barack Obama's speech last night. So I'm sending you something I wrote to you two weeks after Hurricane Katrina. It remains every bit as relevant today, on Katrina's 3rd anniversary, as when I wrote it on September 11, 2005. Please give it another look. Here it is in full:

A Letter to All Who Voted for George W. Bush... from Michael Moore

Dear Friends,

On this, the fourth anniversary of 9/11, I'm just curious, how does it feel?

How does it feel to know that, the man you re-elected to lead us AFTER we were attacked, went ahead and put a guy in charge of FEMA whose main qualification was that he ran horse shows?

That's right. Horse shows.

I really want to know -- and I ask you this in all sincerity and with all due respect -- how do you feel about the utter contempt Mr. Bush has shown for your safety? C'mon, give me just a moment of honesty. Don't start ranting on about how this disaster in New Orleans was the fault of one of the poorest cities in America. Put aside your hatred of Democrats and liberals and anyone with the last name of Clinton. Just look me in the eye and tell me our President did the right thing after 9/11 by naming a horse show runner as the top man to protect us in case of an emergency or catastrophe.

I want you to put aside your self-affixed label of Republican/conservative/born-again/capitalist/ditto-head/right-winger and just talk to me as an American, on the common ground we both call America.

Are we safer now than before 9/11? When you learn that, after the horse show runner, the #2 and #3 men in charge of emergency preparedness have... zero experience in emergency preparedness (!), do you think we are safer?

When you look at Michael Chertoff, the head of Homeland Security, a man with little experience in national security, do you feel secure?

When men who never served in the military, and have never seen young men die in battle, send our young people off to war, do you think they know how to conduct a war? Do they know what it means to have your legs blown off for a threat that was never there?

Do you really believe that turning over important government services to private corporations has resulted in better services for the people?

Why do you hate our federal government so much? You have voted for politicians for the past 25 years whose main goal has been to de-fund the federal government. Do you think that cutting federal programs like FEMA and the Army Corps of Engineers has been good or bad for America? GOOD OR BAD?!

With the nation's debt at an all-time high, do you think tax cuts for the rich are still a good idea? Will you give yours back so hundreds of thousands of homeless in New Orleans can have a home?

Do you believe in Jesus? Really? Didn't he say that we would be judged by how we treat the least among us? Hurricane Katrina came in and blew off the facade that we were a nation with liberty and justice for all. The wind howled and the water rose and what was revealed was that the poor in America shall be left to suffer and die while the President of the United States fiddles and tells them to eat cake.

That's not a joke. The day the hurricane hit and the levees broke, Mr. Bush, John McCain and their rich pals were stuffing themselves with cake. A full day after the levees broke (the same levees whose repair funding he had cut), Mr. Bush was playing a guitar some country singer gave him at some fundraiser with John McCain. All this while New Orleans sank under water.

It would take ANOTHER day before the President would do a "flyover" in his jumbo jet, peeking out the widow at the misery 2,500 feet below him as he flew back to his second home in DC. It would then be TWO MORE DAYS before a trickle of federal aid and troops would arrive. This was no seven minutes in a sitting trance while children read "My Pet Goat" to him. This was FOUR DAYS of doing nothing other than saying "Brownie (FEMA director Michael Brown), you're doing a heck of a job!"

My Republican friends, does it bother you that we are the laughing stock of the world?

And on this sacred day of remembrance, do you think we honor or shame those who died on 9/11/01? If we learned nothing and find ourselves today every bit as vulnerable and unprepared as we were on that bright sunny morning, then did the 3,000 die in vain?

Our vulnerability is not just about dealing with terrorists or natural disasters. We are vulnerable and unsafe because we allow one in eight Americans to live in horrible poverty. We accept an education system where one in six children never graduate and most of those who do can't string a coherent sentence together. The middle class can't pay the mortgage or the hospital bills and 45 million have no health coverage whatsoever.

Are we safe? Do you really feel safe? You can only move so far out and build so many gated communities before the fruit of what you've sown will be crashing through your walls and demanding retribution. Do you really want to wait until that happens? Or is it your hope that if they are left alone long enough to soil themselves and shoot themselves and drown in the filth that fills the street that maybe the problem will somehow go away?

I know you know better. You gave the country and the world a man who wasn't up for the job and all he does is hire people who aren't up for the job. You did this to us, to the world, to the people of New Orleans. Please fix it. Bush is yours. And you know, for our peace and safety and security, this has to be fixed. What do you propose?

I have an idea, and it isn't a horse show.

Yours,

Michael Moore
MichaelMoore.com
Mail Michael

(And my idea now, some three years later, is that they seek forgiveness and redemption by voting for Barack Obama -- or just stay home on November 4.)

DAYTON, OH– Injecting a new twist into the presidential race, John McCain on Friday introduced

DAYTON, OH-- Injecting a new twist into the presidential race, John McCain on Friday introduced Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to be his vice presidential running mate at a rally that also celebrated the Republican presidential candidate's 72nd birthday.

"My friends and fellow Americans, I am very pleased and very privileged to introduce to you the next vice president of the United States, Governor Sarah Palin of the great state of Alaska," McCain told a capacity crowd of 12,000 at the Nutter Center.

Describing Palin as someone with "grit and integrity and devotion to the common good that is exactly what we need in Washington today," McCain said Palin "knows where she comes from and she knows who she works for. She stands up for what is right and she doesn't tell anyone to sit down. She's fought oil companies and party bosses and do-nothing bureaucrats and anyone who puts their interests before the people they serve."

Palin, 44, brings to the Republican ticket a resume that challenges conventional wisdom while also playing into the party's conservative base. A former beauty queen, the Alaska governor is, among other things, a mother of five, abortion opponent, union member, hockey player and moose hunter. She is said to be a reformer who takes pride in standing up to the "good ole' boy network" and has served as the top ethics watchdog in her state.

"I would be honored to serve next to the next president of the United States," Palin said after joining McCain, his wife Cindy and daughter Meghan on stage. "To be chosen is a great challenge. I know that it will demand everything I have to give and I promise nothing less."

The choice of a woman running mate comes during the week of the 88th anniversary of women earning the right to vote. Palin noted that she was following in the footsteps of former New York Rep. Geraldine Ferraro, who was Walter Mondale’s running mate in 1984, and New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, who Palin noted in her historic presidential bid this year had made “18 million cracks” in the glass ceiling.

“It turns out that women in America aren’t finished yet and we can shatter that glass ceiling once and for all,” she said to rousing applause.

This is a great–tasting quick-to-make method of making leftover cooked chickpeas. If you like, the patties may easily be prepared with a combination of cooked soybeans and cooked brown rice, along with herbs and seasonings of choice. Chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, are available in three varieties – brown or kala chana, green and opaque (garbanzo), or kabuli chana in the Indian kitchen.

Tip: Once the chickpeas are cooked; they may be used in four different ways: dips, fritters (falafel), salad, or simply using the chickpeas along with the herbs and seasonings of choice (like chana chaat).

2 1/4	cups cooked chickpeas, drained
3/4	teaspoon salt or to taste
1/4	cup white sesame seeds, lightly toasted
1/2	teaspoon chopped ginger
1	large clove garlic, peeled and chopped
1/2	tablespoon chana chaat masala or to taste
1/4	cup finely chopped onion
1/4	cup chopped coriander leaves
1/4	cup rice flakes, moistened
Vegetable oil for pan-frying

1) Combine cooked chickpeas, salt, sesame seeds, ginger and garlic in a food processor. Add chana chaat masala or 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and 1/2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice if desired and pulse until the consistency of a coarse thick paste or dry pulp.
2) Empty the mixture to a bowl and add the remaining ingredients except the vegetable oil and stir to mix. Add additional rice flakes (poha) or sesame flour as needed to hold the shapes of the patties and mix thoroughly. Adjust the seasonings as needed.
3) Form the chickpea mixture into patties and coat each patty with additional rice flakes. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before pan-frying.
4) Heat oil in a large cast-iron skillet and pan-fry in oil for 3 to 5 minutes on each side, until lightly brown. Serve warm.

Yield: 4-6 Chickpea Patties.
